APPLYING FOR A JOB

Applying for a job with Brandon Trust: Upon receipt of your completed application form,the Human Resources team will review your details and match up your skills; the types of work you would like to do and the areas in which you can work, with the vacancies available at the time.
Your application will then be forwarded to a Service Development Manager for shortlisting. If they agree you are suitable for the service, the Human Resources team will call the Manager of the service in order to arrange an interview date for you.
THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS
If you are offered a position with Brandon Trust following interview, the Human Resources team will follow guidelines set out in the Care Standards Act. There are several pre-employment checks that will need to be completed before you start work with Brandon Trust. These are:
- Two References
One of these references must be obtained from your current or most recent employer,and the second should be from a recent previous employer where possible. - Pre-employment Occupational Health Check
This is to ensure you will be able to carry out the duties required, and recommend any support or training that you would need. - Criminal Records Bureau Check
This check is carried out as Brandon Trust, as a care provider, is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. However, if you have previously received acaution, reprimand or final warning, or if you have been convicted of a criminal offence,this will not necessarily be a bar to working with us. We also undertake a POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) check, which is incorporated in the full CRB Disclosure.
N.B. Currently, the average time between being offered a position with Brandon Trust and receipt of all the necessary clearances is 15 working days.
