ANDY MONKS: HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINER
My name is Andy Monks and I am the Health and Safety Trainer for Brandon Trust. I have worked in the care sector for over 25 years and within this time I have worked in many different settings but most of my experience is of working and training in the learning disability sector.
Throughout this period I have been involved in facilitating staff training in Health and Safety to ensure that staff teams are well equipped with up to date skills enabling them to do their jobs safely. At Brandon Trust I continue to specialise in Health and Safety training, concentrating on First Aid, Moving and Handling, Fire training, COSHH, Risk assessment and Basic Food Hygiene.
I have a number of Health & Safety training qualifications including FAETC Stage 1 & 2, IOSH Health & Safety Certificate, RCN Manual Handling Certificate, Advanced Certificate in Food Safety and First Aid At Work Certificate (HSE). The key thing is that I am constantly updating my skills and knowledge so that I always bring fresh thinking to this important subject.
