HILARY PEARCE: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND BUSINESS SYSTEMS

I am Hilary Pearce, the Trust's Director of Finance and Business Systems. I am a long-standing member of Brandon's Executive Management Team and have seen lots of changes and new developments both within the organisation and across the sector of learning disabilities. It's a hugely enjoyable and interesting field to work in and my remit covers finance, payroll, information technology, management information systems, administration and facilities management.

My personal background is rooted in accountancy and audit practice. I qualified as a Certified Accountant over fifteen years ago, since then I have moved up the food chain but always in the 'not for profit' sector with roles in a small specialist colleges, a regional probation service, a large Further Education college and now Brandon Trust. My particular area of expertise lies in finance system implementation - having implemented a new one in every place I have worked! My current role has widened my experience considerably; I have been responsible for the implementation of a full scale management information system overhaul which has progressed concurrently with the successful roll-out of the IT WAN (wide area network) to all our sites.

With the back-up of experienced colleagues in my team we can offer consultancy in areas of financial management systems. We currently bureau services in finance and payroll for other outside agencies as well as our own administration.
