My Unique Life is a short film about unique individuals who have discovered their own direction in life. This is not about climbing mountains or exploring jungles; here people simply take responsibility for their own life choices. Meet Jean who has a paid job; find out about Basil’s original menus; listen to Sheila tell you where she went for her holiday. Brandon Trust is committed to supporting people live the lives they choose - ordinary people living extraordinary lives.

This is film is not the product of social care professionals, or managers, or even advocates who believe they can speak on behalf of others, this DVD was made by real experts. My Unique Life features one unique set of people with learning disabilities giving out a message to others, “We can get a life and you can too!”

All of the teams in Brandon Trust have a copy of the DVD to share and view with the people they support. There is material available to help people talk about some of the ideas in the film. The key message is, “What do you want to do with your life?”
