Welcome to the Odyssey Care hosting page on the Brandon Trust Website. In April 2011 Odyssey Care became a subsidiary of Brandon Trust. This means that Odyssey Care and Brandon Trust are currently two separate organisations, with two different Trustee Boards. In January 2012 both Boards independently confirmed their intention to progress towards Odyssey’s integration with Brandon Trust during the forthcoming year. This strategy is subject to the satisfactory completion of contractual change agreements; there is a strong expectation this will be achieved. Until completed the two companies operate independently of each other, though sharing similar values and intentions in the way they support people with learning disabilities.

In January 2012 Ingrid Vlam will be the new Director for Odyssey Care. Ingrid is seconded from Brandon Trust, where she has been an Area Director since 2007. She has a lot of experience in ‘change management’, building a reputation as a dynamic leader.
In the late 1980’s Ingrid trained as learning disability nurse, working in a range of social care settings in Germany, Netherlands, USA, as well as the UK. Ingrid is very positive about her new role: “I wouldn’t be coming to London if I didn’t believe that together we can create an innovative quality service in the capital. There’s hard work ahead but the team at Odyssey Care provide a very good basis for taking things forward.”
