We take people with learning disabilities seriously and that means enabling individuals to have the opportunity to do training in order to go out and get a job.  Just one example is NVQ Level 1 in Catering and Hospitality.  This has been a key qualification for a number of people we support who have gained employment in various cafes and hotels.  Brandon Trust is a charity that leads by example. We have a number of employees with learning disabilities.  Richard Pearson is Brandon Trust’s Learning Disability Champion.  For years Richard considers he was harassed and abused by people who did not understand his disability.  “My job is about promoting the work of Brandon Trust but we also fight the common enemy of discrimination and prejudice”.
