Brandon Trust currently runs Work Clubs, where people can be supported on their journey towards getting a paid job in Redruth, Penzance, Par, Truro, Falmouth and Camborne.
These are specifically designed for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We meet twice a month in each area and have already achieved great success not only in building up the confidence and self esteem of each individual who attends these popular groups, but also in achieving concrete job outcomes.
Work Clubs are not just about 'work', they also give people with learning disabilities an opportunity to broaden their social circle and to make new friends.
We have built strong links with local employers and this is reflected in the success that the people we support achieve in gaining, keeping, or, if desired, changing a job.
'The right person for the right job is so important'
With the support of his family and job coach, Richie is now into his second season of paid employment. His confidence and self esteem have grown tenfold. As well as increasing his savings and improving his social life, Richie also received hands-on First Aid Training in real life scenarios.
Richie and his friend Josh have also set up a recycling business in their local area.
By attending our Work Clubs you will be able to benefit from our:
Dedicated job coaches
Job coach 1:1 support to complete a Vocational Profile, identify opportunities for work tasters, work experience, training and employment
Support for your families and carers to help you think about your employment options
Support to receive training leading to employment
Support for you and your employer once you have a job
Strive for full inclusion in the work environment, and for the worker to become independent of Job Coach support
Our experience is that, with the right level of support, you can excel in and sustain work of all descriptions.

I attended the Brandon Trust Work Club in Redruth and enjoyed meeting with others also looking for work. I was taken on at a Baker for holiday cover and then Brandon Trust supported me into full time employment as a baker. I needed to get to work early in the morning and so they found funding for a bike and wet weather gear for me. Thank you.

I attended the Haldrine Work Club in Penzance with my college friends. This summer I was interviewed and then employment at the Riviera Sands Resort, in Hayle as an accommodation cleaner. A job coach worked with me to begin with and then we worked in a team of four. I was with two other friends from the Work Club too.
