Brandon Trust is linked to a grass-roots carers' initiative in Mozambique, supporting young people with learning disabilities. In November 2008, Brandon Trust organised a drum marathon involving 24 hour non-stop drumming. Paul who lives in Lydney, Gloucestershire, took part in the event. Paul brought the word 'percussion' to life - at one point leaving his wheelchair to lay on the floor while an Irish bodran drum was played across his chest. It gave new meaning to 'feeling the vibrations'. The event raised over £900; it is just one example of how we seek to extend our work beyond the norm.
