As a Bank Support Worker you will be with people in a variety of settings, including residential, supported living and day services, enabling them to do things that they would find difficult without support, often things that are essential to their own comfort and sense of wellbeing.
You may be required to assist individuals fully or partially with their personal health and hygiene, depending on the needs of the individual. The main advantage to you is that you have ultimate flexibility about when you work and where you work. You inform the Bank service of your availability and we will match you up with shifts. What could be simpler?
People Who Like People
We are looking for people from a variety of different backgrounds but with qualities such as being able to communicate well and the ability to build good relationships with people. The key to your success will be your ability to support people in a way that’s right for them. Get it right and you’ll make a real difference!
Reliability and flexibility are essential. We support people 24 hours a day, everyday, so there will be a variety of shifts available including daytimes, weekends, waking nights, sleep-ins and bank holidays.
Experience
Don’t worry... if you have little or no experience, you will start your first 10 shifts as a probationary worker. For these shifts you’ll receive extra help and support from the home staff, so you don’t have to worry about taking on responsibilities you’re not used to. Bank work can also be a ‘stepping stone’ towards permanent posts with the Trust.
