'SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO LEAD INTERESTING LIVES ISN'T ABOUT DRIVING AROUND AND DRINKING TEA... IT SHOULD BE ABOUT OPPORTUNITY... IF YOU BELIEVE IN ME, I WILL BELIEVE I CAN DO ANYTHING.'

WORK, LEARNING AND LEISURE
Having something meaningful to do is important to all of us, whether it's going to work, learning a new skill or just getting out and getting on with life. Work, Learning and Leisure supports people to do just that and in a number of different and often individually tailored ways. We offer support to people of all ages with many different support requirements and whoever we are working with we start by listening hard to what they want. We then offer the support they need to get that job, access employment training, and enjoy their local community or to pursue their leisure interests.
North Somerset District Council invited Brandon Trust to manage its day centres for people with learning disabilities. These services are on six sites and offer support to over 300 people. The centres are developing modernised educational, employment and leisure support for the people who attend, in partnership with the Council and with other agencies in the local area.
