Enterprises

We have a number of social enterprises in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset areas. They offer people with learning disabilities and autism opportunities to gain work skills, vocational training, and paid employment.

Elm Tree Farm

Elm Tree Farm is a vibrant, colourful place; a piece of the countryside in the middle of Bristol. It is a care farm, producing a wide variety of nutritious produce grown using organic farming methods and breeding a range of livestock. Over 50 people with learning disabilities and autism work at the Farm.

All produce grown and raised on the Farm, can be bought from the onsite farm shop, open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am - 4pm. For more information, please visit the Elm Tree Farm website.

Ceramics studios

We run two creative and lively ceramics studios; Banwell Pottery in Worle, near Weston-super-Mare, and Fired Up Ceramics in Yate, near Bristol. They offer practical work experience, training opportunities, and supported employment.

Banwell Pottery

The potters produce unique designs inspired by the things they see around them, and make these designs into finished products, including ceramic tiles and coasters, hanging decorations, and greetings cards.

They exhibit and sell their work at a variety of craft and art fairs across North Somerset and Bristol, as well as direct from the studio at @Worle and the Brandon charity shops. You can also have a go at designing and making ceramics yourself at evening classes. For more information, please visit the Banwell Pottery website.

Products are available to buy from the onsite shop and from the Brandon charity shops. They also attend craft fairs in and around Bristol. For more information, please visit the Fired Up Ceramics website.

The cafes provide opportunities for vocational training and paid employment. The aim is to help people transition into the workplace, and gain transferable life and social skills. They make and sell delicious freshly prepared food and tasty cakes.
