Brandon Trust Summer Camp 2018

Saturday, 4 August - Saturday, 11 August
Fully booked

Learning the skills of archeryOur week-long summer camp is for young people aged 14-19 years of age, who have learning disabilities or autism.

The camp provides opportunities for youngsters to develop social skills, make new friends, and build their confidence and independence. It's often a life-changing experience.

Based at Goblin Combe Environment Centre in Somerset, the young people stay in shared bedrooms in the centre. Youngsters with restricted mobility need to be able to transfer between their bed and chair, without the use of a hoist.

The week focusses on a number of activities, most of which happen onsite and include: woodwork, cookery, cake decorating, rifle shooting, low/high ropes, ceramics, football, go karting, archery, bushcraft, and arts and crafts.

Preparing to abseilBrandon raises funds to reduce the cost of this holiday and asks that each person attending pay £350 towards it. A deposit of £100 should be made at the time of booking with the balance due before the end of June, 2018.
