About the role

Based: Patchway, Bristol 

Salary: On application

Contract: Full-time, permanent

This is an outstanding opportunity; a pivotal role and part of the executive leadership team, where you’ll drive forward our digital, technology and cyber transformation. You’ll shape the strategic direction according to your vision, involving others to ensure all that we do is routed in providing the best possible service for our valued staff teams. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, as we invest in our foundations to ensure we continue to provide the best possible outcomes for people we support.

We are an independent charity, headquartered in Patchway, Bristol, with an enviable reputation for providing high-quality, person-centred support that is genuinely life-enhancing. Brandon is a team of around 2,000 people, supporting around 1,800 people across southern England and the Midlands, with an income of £56 million. We exist to enable children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, autism or both to live life in the way they choose.

Through inspirational, values-driven leadership and management of the technology, digital, IT and cyber function you’ll ensure we develop a modern, integrated strategy across systems, data and users. Working closely with operations teams you’ll ensure delivery of an IT service responsive to user needs and change programmes that demonstrably add value to our operation that enhance our work.

Collaborating with third parties, you’ll drive continuous improvement and value for money, ensuring compliance with good industry practice and that risks are well governed. You’ll manage senior IT staff and develop the IS team and be responsible for relevant policies, processes and procedures.

About you

You’ll ideally have director or partner level experience preferably in a customer focused organisation, and a strong track record of successfully driving digital technology change, both at a strategic, operational level, and across a geographical range. You’ll have demonstrable experience of leading and developing projects for organisations with over 1,000 employees, and a collegiate working style with well-formed networking skills. Whilst experience of the social care sector would be advantageous, we welcome candidates from all sectors.

Person-centred and willing to meet and understand the issues of staff on the frontline, you’re able to connect with people at all levels of the organisation. An effective leader you are adept at setting strategic direction in a way that inspires confidence, commitment and encourages innovation. You’ll also have a proven track record of providing effective technology and business leadership, advice and support to a Chief Executive, Directors and a Board, and of managing IT support functions to a high standard.
