Focus on Yate

Join us in Yate

Join us in new roles in Yate, supporting several young people at an exciting time in their lives as they transition to living independently in their own, shared homes. You’ll support them in all aspects of their busy lives. Initially there is likely to be some hours supporting in the lead up to the young people moving home, as well as some hours working in some other, nearby services.

You’ll support the young people to do the things they want to do in the community; from going to the gym and horse riding, to working in social enterprises and swimming. You’ll support them to build their independent living skills too; from cooking and looking after the home to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also involved.

This video is from Olivia who can tell you more about what she is looking forward to:

Olivia is moving to her a new home in the new year. Watch this short video on the what she is most looking forward to.

If you're new to social care, we'll support you to gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you’re experienced, we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications, and career progression.

You'll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends, evenings, and nights. A full driving licence is essential.
