Relief support worker (COVID key worker)

Help people in your community by joining Brandon as a relief support worker in these unprecedented times. This is a an essential ‘key worker category’ role. Working alongside our experienced staff teams, you’ll care for people who have a learning disability or autism, or both, to ensure their wellbeing and safety. Experience isn’t required and we can support you with training.

This is a casual ‘bank’ support worker role where working on a casual basis gives you flexibility. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to ‘regular’ shifts, bank workers may be asked to provide back-up support to core staff teams by doing things like collecting shopping and prescriptions, helping with household tasks, preparing food or driving.

We understand that you may be concerned about the implications of the coronavirus outbreak with regards to the recruitment process. Brandon is committed to protecting our staff, candidates and people we support. We have taken measures to allow flexibility as you progress through the process and we offer video and phone interviews. We will continue to monitor and adapt our current plans as more updates become available from the Government and Public Health England.

People with all sorts of different experience make great support workers here. People from retail, hospitality, care and many more have discovered a genuinely rewarding role. If you’re successful you’ll have flexibility and access to shifts that suit you.

About the role
