Focus on Yate

Who will you be supporting?

This is a new service where you'll be supporting young adults as they transition to living independently in their own, shared homes. Initially there is likely to be some hours supporting in the lead up to the young people moving home, as well as some hours working in some other, nearby services.

You’ll support the young people to do the things they want to do in the community; from going to the gym and horse riding, to working in social enterprises and swimming. You’ll support them to build their independent living skills too; from cooking and looking after the home to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also involved.

Watch the video from Olivia who can tell you more about what she is looking forward to.
