Continual professional development
"I never, ever feel like I don't want to come in..." Nursing with Brandon
Some of our nursing team talk about why they love their role here at Brandon - giving the people we support great quality of life.
Brandon supports your CPD and revalidation, your learning needs and clinical practice through training, our internal clinical network and external networks. You can also undertake study for further qualifications and if you're newly qualified we offer a preceptorship programme.
Specialist Interest Groups (SIGs)
Our SIGs are made up of experienced employees who have an interest and expertise in specialist areas such as autism, inclusion, employment, innovation, dementia pathways, and children and transitions. SIGs play an important role in ensuring that innovative support models and opportunities are available to everyone we support.
The groups come together to share research and best practice, create internal and external networks and look at the best ways we can support people. Their expertise is highly valuable to all of us at Brandon and provides a ‘hub’ for employees to connect with in order to develop knowledge in areas of particular interest. They motivate and inspire teams at a local level, inform strategic direction and ensure that creative and bespoke solutions are available to the people we support.
Our experienced practitioners are people who have specialist knowledge and experience in their particular area of practice, a passion for seeking improvements and the ability to develop others.
They facilitate and deliver information, advice, guidance and training to other staff, helping to ensure that specialist knowledge is maintained and shared across Brandon.
As an experienced practitioner, you’ll be fully supported by our learning and development team to continuously enhance your knowledge of current best practice in order to ensure that we’re offering the best possible support in your area of specialism.
