A right royal start to fundraising partnership

We're absolutely delighted to share that we've been selected as the Clifton Club's nominated charity for 2018, as part of their 200th anniversary year celebrations. The Bristol-based member's club has set themselves the challenging target of funding two of our young people's summer camps during our partnership year.

Clifton Club Royal Visit

Representatives from Brandon, including Alex Warman, one of our summer camp attendees, joined club members for the launch of their bicentennial celebrations on Tuesday, 6 March. Special guest at the lunch was HRH, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, who learned more about the benefits of the camps from Alex and Brandon locality manager Izzy Clarke before picking up a few snooker tips!

The club is planning a series of fundraising activities throughout the year, with the aim of involving as many members as possible. Delphine Barnes, chair of the club’s charity committee said:

The diversity of our membership allows us to plan a variety of fundraising events to, hopefully, engage everyone!

"Several of our members have connections with the Brandon Trust and therefore it felt like a perfect partnership. The charity does fantastic work, and we’re very keen to raise money to support their work."

We're very much looking forward to a successful partnership year!
