'Follow Me' to Fistral Beach

Young People Supported by BrandonCornwall learning disability charity Brandon Trust is marking the launch of its new children’s services in the county with a family day of celebration in Newquay next Saturday (20 June).

The event kicks off at 10am with the première of a 30-minute film at the town’s Lighthouse Cinema that Brandon has produced called 'Follow Me' which showcases the children’s services and features the stories of local families and youngsters the charity supports.

The film première will be followed by free water sports and beach activities on nearby Fistral Beach for young people we support and their families, led by The Wave Project and beginning at midday.

The charity currently supports 34 children and their families in Cornwall and Brandon Trust’s Tracy Date said: "Since early 2014 we’ve been working really hard with children, young people and families, to improve the service we provide. We have a new children’s strategy and commissioned this film to raise awareness of the work Brandon does in this area.

"It’s an inspiring insight into the lives of the families we support."
