How does your garden grow?

Grounds Gardens LogoHi, I'm Esther. I've worked for Brandon for a good few years and part of my role involves overseeing some of our social enterprises. One of which is Grounds & Gardens, Bristol.

It’s a supported employment unit which offers a real wage to all its employees; people who we also support, people who have learning disabilities and autism. G&G has been trading for more than 20 years in a commercial environment and recently the Bristol branch merged with Grounds & Gardens, Weston-super-Mare. The merger now gives a larger geographic spread for the whole business to expand and grow.

In recent months, I've been working quite hard to promote and develop the business. We've revised and updated our logo, we’ll soon have some new uniforms which I know the team are desperate for, and the thing I'm most proud of is our new website www.groundsandgardens.org.

It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here and I love it! It fits nicely with Brandon Trust’s main website but also has its own identity. It’s clean, tidy and simple to navigate, so hopefully very user-friendly.

Our image has received the makeover it so desperately needed. Our business plan has had the makeover it needed as well. There are exciting times ahead as we progress the business, attract new customers with our professionalism and standard of work, while providing real paid work opportunities.

Keep an eye out for future blogs as I’ll be keeping you all updated.
