Together we'll recruit the right people
I've been supported by Brandon Trust for a number of years, and from time to time the support works both ways. For example, I recently supported Lucy, the Chief Executive and Trevor, one of the Directors, interviewing applicants for a new and exciting role; Head of Involvement.
I’ve helped out with interviews before, but this was a particularly interesting one as the successful applicant will have to make the user forum meetings where people supported by Brandon can share their views and concerns on a number of issues. The future aim being to make these meetings more productive, stronger, and better connected with all the other people supported, and the management team who run the Trust. It’s a big job and I hope the person appointed achieves this, amongst the many other things they’ll be doing.
On the interview day I was a bit rushed because the taxi arrived a little late and then typically the traffic was bad, but I got there without too much delay. I enjoy getting out of the house to do things like this and meeting new people. My knowledge of the forums was a great help during the interview process and I know I can articulate well, speaking up for other people who can’t. It was a busy day and it was nice to meet the applicants, hear about their careers so far, and find out why they want to work for Brandon Trust.
