Fundraise at work

There are many ways our supporters can get involved in fundraising at work, either as individuals, in groups, or as a business.

Select a heading to find out more.

Charity of the Year

Charity of the year bannerA Charity of the Year partnership can unite your colleagues, increase awareness for your business, and help you achieve your Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.

Working in partnership with Brandon as your Charity of the Year is a fantastic way to help raise awareness and funds for people with learning disabilities, autism, or both.

You can choose to raise funds for a local project or for a programme across the whole of Brandon. We truly believe in creating a two-way partnership and we will work with you to ensure that it meets your business needs.

So, whether you are organising a one-off event or looking for a full partnership, we can support you. We are also able to offer volunteering opportunities for your team so whatever the size of your company and wherever you are based, we’d love to start a conversation with you.

Payroll Giving

Through Payroll Giving, your business and employees can play an important role in supporting the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. Running a Payroll Giving Scheme shows that you care about your staff and the community - helping to build better employer/employee relations, as well as attracting the right people to come and work for you.

How does it work?

It’s really simple. Your employees ask you to deduct regular donations for their chosen charity directly from their pay, after calculation of National Insurance contributions, but before deduction of Pay As You Earn tax. This way, employees gets tax relief at their top rate of tax.

For example, it will only cost an employee who pays basic rate tax, £8.00 to donate £10.00 to the charity of their choice (basic rate of tax is 20% from April 2008).

£20 £16 £12

Corporate volunteering and gifts in kind

volunteer handsWe welcome volunteers from our corporate supporters. We can offer you the opportunity to work with us and the people we support, and we always need help in our social enterprises, shops and cafés.

If you are business and looking for opportunities where you can really make a difference, please contact our fundraising team and we’ll be happy to help.

There are plenty of other ways to your workplace can get involved from bake-offs and cake sales, to skydives to overseas challenges.

There are also times when people we support need equipment and this can take many forms. For example, at the start of the first lockdown, one of our amazing supporters donated some used tablet devices. These proved vital in helping people to stay connected with their families and friends.

We're always keen to share great news, so we'll work with you to promote your efforts on our website and social media pages.
