Huge thanks to Almeda for a winning fundraiser

Generous guests of Keynsham-based, Almeda, dug deep to raise a fabulous £10,000 for Brandon and Help Bristol's Homeless at a fundraising event at Bath Racecourse last week.

Almeda, a family-owned facilities management company, organised and hosted a wonderful afternoon in aid of the two charities. Over 100 guests enjoyed a three-course meal, and of course, horse racing.

A fundraising auction saw bids on some fantastic items, including a private box at a Manchester United football match. We were delighted to see a painting by talented young artist Hayley Buxton, who is supported by Brandon, raise an incredible £650.

The funds raised will go to our Dream Fund, which gives the people we support the invaluable opportunity to achieve a wish or dream that might otherwise be beyond their reach.

Brady George, Managing Director of Almeda said: "It was a pleasure to help in some small way to support the fantastic work that Brandon Trust and Help Bristol’s Homeless deliver across the south west. I'd like to thank all of our suppliers and peers who really pushed hard to make the event such a success."

As part of the day, Sue Porto, our Chief Executive, had the opportunity to tell guests more about the difference their support would make to people with a learning disability or autism.

Sue said: "We’re both thrilled and grateful that Almeda were able to support Brandon and Help Bristol's Homeless, who are another amazing charity. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who organised this, and Bath Racecourse, who very kindly donated an extra £2,000 to the fundraising total. You've all helped to make a real difference to the people we support.
"We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Almeda as well as all the guests who so generously supported the two charities on the day."

You can also help us enable the people we support to achieve their wishes and dreams. Please make a donation.
