Our strategy

Although continued progress has been made in support and opportunities for people with a learning disability, it’s all too clear that people still face significant challenges throughout their lives. Health, finding suitable housing, opportunities to develop relationships, and securing employment, are all areas where people with a learning disability still face significant inequalities.

In 2021, we set about a process of developing a new strategy that not only looked at how we support people, but the role we can play in creating a world where people of different abilities truly belong.

We worked closely with the people we support, their families, our colleagues and commissioners, to make sure everyone could share their views and experiences.

It became clear that Plan A has gotten us so far, but a lot more needs to be done. This is why we've created Plan B.

Plan B sets out what we will do to create a future where we are all connected and have equal opportunities to make our choices and thrive. It’s about Brandon leading by example, driven by our purpose of working alongside people with different abilities so they can create opportunity and feel empowered to live the life they want.

You can find out more about Plan B including the vision, purpose, values, and key actions in the strategy.
