In celebration of our 30th birthday, we aim to host an inclusive, online exhibition of creative works from people we support, our staff, and our supporters. The exhibition will explore the theme: What does ‘support’ mean to you?
Choose a format for your work
We welcome entries – in any format you choose – from anyone who has a connection with Brandon. Your work could be photography, painting, sculpture, drawing, colouring, textiles, collage, poetry, dance, song – however you wish to express yourself!
Photography
Take a photograph of something that represents ‘support’ to you. There are no rules – the photo could even be of a written quote or poem from someone expressing how they feel when being supported, or how you feel when you are supporting someone.
Art/craft work
Create a piece of art that represents ‘support’. It could be a representation of feelings with colours and textures. It could be painted, drawn, digital art, a collage using found materials, or a sculpture using recycled materials or clay.
Video
Send a video of you doing something celebrating how you support people or how you are supported. Dancing, music, singing, acting – however you like to express yourself!
Colouring
If you’re stuck for ideas but want to celebrate our birthday with us, you could use your favourite pens, pencils or paints to illustrate a drawing. We’ve created six designs for you to choose from. Download a design and print it.
You could add stickers, glitter, collage materials, or anything else you like.

Important information about your entry
If your entry is a video, ideally, it should be less than two minutes long. If you are taking photographs, please think about composition (what is in the background etc.). Ensure the lighting is good and there are no unnecessary shadows. Do not capture any personal information.
If taking photos of someone you support, please make sure the person gives their consent for the image to be shared on our website and social media pages. We will need an online consent form completed.
Where to send your entry
Please email your entry to: communications@brandontrust.org
As this will be an online exhibition, please do not send any content in the post.
When sending your entry, please tell us your name, where you are based, and how you are connected with Brandon. Please also include a description of how your work represents support to you.
Consent
If you have taken photographs or video of someone you support, please also include the person’s name in your email when you send your entry (so we can check the consent record).
Please note: We might not be able to publish every entry we receive. For example, if the photograph/video contains personal information, or is blurred or low quality.
How your work will be shared
We will share the photographs and videos of your creative works on the Brandon website. Visitors to our website will be able to view the entries and find out more about the artists and performers. We may also share them on our social media pages.
