Brandon Trust is inviting service providers to tender for three key areas of employee support: Occupational Health, an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), and the outsourcing of our Employee Relations (ER) function.
As we continue to enhance our support for colleagues, we are seeking high-quality, reliable partners who can provide expert services tailored to the needs of our charity. These services play a crucial role in fostering a healthy, engaged, and supported workforce, which is essential for delivering exceptional care.
Occupational Health
We are looking for an Occupational Health provider that can deliver comprehensive services to support the wellbeing of our employees.
This includes:
- Conducting health assessments to support recruitment, return to work, and ongoing employee wellbeing
- Providing medical advice and guidance on workplace adjustments
- Supporting absence management through effective health intervention strategies
- Delivering proactive health initiatives and wellbeing programmes
- Advising on occupational health risks and preventative strategies to promote long-term employee wellness
- Facilitating access to medical referrals and specialist assessments when necessary
A strong understanding of the care sector and the ability to provide clear, actionable advice will be key considerations in our selection process. Additionally, we are looking for a provider that takes a proactive approach to health management, offering preventative solutions that help employees maintain their physical and mental wellbeing before issues escalate.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
The Employee Assistance Programme will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our workforce.
We are seeking a provider that can offer:
- 24/7 confidential counselling and support services
- Online and telephone support for employees and their families
- Financial, legal, and career guidance
- Tailored wellbeing resources and self-help tools
- Web-based resources that are easy to access and navigate for employees at all levels
- Workshops and training sessions on stress management, resilience, and mental health awareness
We are particularly interested in providers who can demonstrate a track record of high engagement levels and positive outcomes in workplace wellbeing. A key factor in our decision will be the ability to integrate EAP services with our broader wellbeing strategy, ensuring that support is both accessible and relevant to employees across different roles and locations.
Outsourcing of the Employee Relations (ER) function
As part of our commitment to streamlining and improving our People Team function, we are considering outsourcing elements of our Employee Relations service.
The chosen provider will need to:
- Deliver expert advice and guidance on complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management issues
- Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice in the care sector
- Offer a responsive, 24/7 service model to support managers effectively
- Work closely with our internal People Team to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for employees and managers
- Provide training and resources to managers on handling ER matters effectively and consistently
- Ensure a strong feedback loop so that trends in ER issues can be identified and addressed proactively
The ability to provide sector-specific expertise, strong case management processes, and proactive problem-solving will be crucial to our decision-making process.
