Benefits and career development
We provide an array of benefits aimed at supporting both your work and home life. These include diverse training and continuous development options, shopping discounts, access to GP helplines, and reduced-rate gym memberships.

Financial benefits
Alongside a competitive salary, there’s the opportunity to work additional hours in many operational roles.
Our employees have access to a contributory GPP pension scheme or the NEST auto-enrolment pension scheme.
We provide free life assurance cover of twice your annual salary to all staff (unless you’re a member of the NHS or local government pension schemes, which have their own cover).
We cover the cost of a full DBS check when you join us.
We offer Wagestream – a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it.
We offer a discount scheme for all staff, which provides special rates on a wide range of products and services. This includes discounted gym membership, bus travel, and healthcare, as well as shopping perks such as the Blue Light Card.
Wellbeing and work-life balance
We aim to give as much flexibility in our rotas as possible, but our priority is to make sure the people we support have great staff available when they need.
As well as offering full-time, part-time, and casual contracts, some roles are also available on weekend-only contracts and nights-only contracts – perfect for people working around family responsibilities, or ‘out of term-time’ contracts – great for students looking for holiday jobs.
All staff have direct access to round-the-clock support from our dedicated counselling and legal helpline, and our GP and prescription service.
We offer employees wellbeing support through our own mental health first aiders, an employee support resilience coaching service, employee assistance line, and online wellbeing portal.
We provide discounted membership of the BHSF health cash plan, for staff and their families, this provides funding for medical expenses including dental/optical bills, and personal injury insurance.
If health issues affect you at work, we offer medical advice and support through our Occupational Health Service.
