A Tailored Induction

We provide a full induction for everyone. You'll be introduced to all the teams at Brandon and you'll get lots of useful information about who we are, what we do, and your employment with us.

Your induction will then be tailored to your role and will continue with your team to ensure you’re equipped with all the essential skills you need.

Training & Development

You'll have access to our in-house training programme and a range of external initiatives to help you develop professionally and personally. You’ll be encouraged to take up a range of development opportunities to expand your experience and knowledge. All staff can access our qualified in-house coaches.

Professional Qualifications

To help with your continuous learning we’ll support you in studying for diplomas, professional qualifications and certificates relevant to your role.

Financial Benefits

Wellbeing & work life balance

Flexible working: Our frontline roles involve working flexible shifts. We understand different people have different lifestyles and commitments and we'll be as responsive as we can to each person's circumstances.

As well as offering full-time, part-time, and casual contracts, some roles are also available on weekend-only contracts, nights-only contracts - perfect for people working around family responsibilities, or 'out of term-time' contracts - perfect for students looking for holiday jobs.

Wellbeing helpline: All staff have direct access to round-the-clock support from both our dedicated counselling and legal helpline and our GP and prescription service.

Mental health support: As a Time To Change (TTC) employer we have signed a pledge to a national campaign to demonstrate our commitment to change how we think and act about mental health in the workplace. As part of this commitment we offer employees wellbeing support through our own mental health first aiders, Time to Change champions, employee support resilience coaching service, employee assistance line and online wellbeing portal.

Health cash plan: We provide discounted membership of the BHSF health cash plan, for staff and their families, this provides funding for medical expenses including dental/optical bills, and personal injury insurance.

Occupational health support: If health issues affect you at work, we offer medical advice and support through our Occupational Health Service.

Training & Development

Induction: When you first join us, you'll have an extensive induction followed by structured training and support to ensure that you feel confident in your role. You'll have regular one-to-ones with your manager to discuss your career aspirations, and we’ll work with you to identify learning needs and develop your Individual Learning Plan.

In-House Training: You'll have access to our in-house training programme and also a range of external initiatives. You’ll also be encouraged to take up a wide range of development opportunities and expand your experience and knowledge, such as our Experienced Practitioner scheme. All staff have access to our qualified in-house coaches.

Ongoing Learning Support: We’ll do what we can to support you in studying for diplomas, professional qualifications, and certificates relevant to your role in order to help your continued learning.
