An update for Familes, Carers & Friends - December 2020

As you will know, the Government has updated the rules for Christmas.

These rules will be in place on 25 December (Christmas Day) in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 areas. The rules will mean that people travel around the UK to visit people who are in their Christmas bubble (this can be a groups of up to 3 households).

If you are in a Tier 4 area you must stay at home and cannot mix with anyone who is not from your household.

Our Chief Executive, Sue Porto, has written to families, carers and friends to summarise the updated rules. She also sets out the approach Brandon will be taking to visiting over the festive period. Letter from Brandon Chief Executive (PDF, 125KB)

We know that that the further, late change to the Christmas rules by the Government has meant disappointment for a great many people. We continue to ask for, and appreciate, your support of our staff teams as we continue to work with you to put new arrangements in place.

We are absolutely committed to keeping you connected with your family members this Christmas, in whatever ways are permitted and safe.

As always, if you have any particular queries or feedback, we are very keen to hear from you. Please do speak directly to your staff teams, or contact us directly at feedback@brandontrust.org

We would like to say a huge thanks to you all for working with and supporting Brandon during this challenging year. Please do accept our very best wishes for the festive season and a happy, healthy 2021.
