What is the Big Give Christmas Challenge?

A young woman taking aim at an archery targetThe Big Give Christmas Challenge is a national campaign that offers matched funding for worthy causes. To qualify for Big Give match funding, we need to raise £15,000. If we are successful, Big Give will double the donation, raising a total of £30,000.

Why is summer camp important?

Having secured a spot on the Big Give Christmas Challenge, we’re hoping to fund our summer camp, which supports autistic youngsters and young people with learning disabilities, to have an unforgettable week away in Exmoor, Devon.

They will likely be away from their families for the first time, making new friends, putting themselves to the test and building their confidence – it is a life-changing experience.

Summer camp also offers the added benefit of providing essential respite for families and carers – enabling them to relax and recharge. For some families, it may provide them with their first opportunity to have some ‘time off’ since their child was born.

Watch the video to find out more about summer camp and the impact it has on the children who attend, and their families.
